As Miss Tennessee Valley, I have the opportunity to serve and promote
this wonderful area for the upcoming year. My new job is one that I am
overjoyed to have and will work my hardest to make everyone in the
Valley proud.
To all of the people who have poured out their love, compassion, time
and resources for me, I would like to say my most sincerest "Thank
you!,"
though it is not near enough to express my gratitude. Your
efforts have provided such a support system for me that I cannot
imagine without. Through this hard work, I have been able to gain
scholarship money for school, valuable experience for my future and a
chance to become a better person. Having the privilege to become part
of the Miss Tennessee Valley family and work with the directors, board
members, volunteers and partners has been a blessing and I hope to
give to these amazing people as much as they have given to me.
My personal platform is Building Stronger Communities: Habitat for
Humanity, and is something that I hold very dear. For years, I have
heard of this organization through the news and television and thought
that I knew what it was and how it functioned, but not until I started
volunteering in high school did I really find out how special this
program is. Ever since I have worked to spread understanding of
Habitat and how one can help with this worth cause.
Currently, I am a 19 year old freshman at the University of Alabama at
Birmingham majoring in Mass Communications with a focus in
Broadcasting. I have a love for media and cannot wait to start my
career. In my school, I am involved in the Honors Academy with the
Experiential Learning Scholars Program, the UAB Wind Symphony and
Blazer Band in which I further my passion for music and flute,
University Programs Council, Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and Tau Beta
Sigma honorary band service sorority.
Once again, thank you for allowing me to serve you as Miss Tennessee
Valley. I am here to serve you with all my ability.
Yours,
Elisabeth Chramer
